In addition to Ford, General Motors (GM) has also decided to adopt Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) for its electric vehicles. CEO Mary Barra made this announcement during a Twitter Spaces conversation with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Barra mentioned that starting in 2025, all GM EVs will utilize the NACS open-source connector standard. This move indicates a shift towards a unified charging infrastructure, which can enhance convenience and accessibility for electric vehicle owners across North America.
