WordPress is introducing its own AI writing assistant called Jetpack AI, seamlessly integrated into the content management system’s editor. Even for WordPress blogs hosted on external platforms, website owners will retain access to the tool via the Jetpack plugin.

Functioning as a generative AI tool, Jetpack can generate content based on user prompts, regardless of whether it’s a conventional article, a list, or a table. Notably, the AI assistant can adapt the tone of the post to align with the user’s desired style, offering options ranging from informative and optimistic to humorous or even sarcastic.

In addition to generating content, users can rely on Jetpack AI for assistance even when crafting their posts. They have the option to request the tool to generate a headline based on their written content.

Moreover, Jetpack can serve as a grammar and spell-checking assistant, automatically identifying and correcting any errors. For those looking to include translations of their articles, Jetpack AI offers the convenience of swiftly translating the content into any of its 12 available languages, including Spanish, French, and Korean.

According to TechCrunch, Jetpack is initially available as a free trial for all WordPress.com customers, allowing them to enjoy its features for the first 20 requests. Following this trial period, users will be required to subscribe to a monthly plan priced at $10 to continue accessing the tool’s functionalities.

Jetpack AI, although beneficial for existing WordPress users, is just one of the many AI-powered writing tools that have emerged in recent times. Microsoft 365 Copilot is another noteworthy example, offering the ability to generate proposals in Word by leveraging data from spreadsheets and even altering the tone of a written report.
